Your name, email address, and phone number(s), including additional contacts you add for alerts.
The address of each property you ask us to monitor.
Your alert preferences and your responses to alerts.
Messages you send us.

Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Information about your property

To provide the service, we obtain public-record information about the properties you register — such as owner names, recorded deeds, mortgages, and parcel details — from county records and third-party property data providers.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect information about how you use our site: browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent, the site that referred you, and your IP address.

How we use information

To provide the service: monitor your property, review potential alerts, and contact you about them.
To run your account, process payments, and provide customer support.
To send service and account messages by email, text, or phone, based on your settings.
To understand how our site is used, measure our advertising, and improve the service.
To protect our customers, our company, and our employees, and to comply with the law.

Cookies, pixels, and analytics

Cookies are small files that help a website remember your browser between visits. Pixels (also called web beacons) are small pieces of code that tell a service when a page was viewed or an action was taken.

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to make the site work. We may also use advertising and analytics tools — such as the Meta (Facebook) pixel, the Nextdoor pixel, and Google Analytics — to understand which ads and pages are useful and to show our ads to people likely to be interested. These providers may collect information about your activity on our site and across other sites, linked to your browser or IP address.

We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and never share it. We will never ask for your password by email, text, or phone.

How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Your choices

Update your contact details and alert preferences anytime in your portal.
Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
Email support@digitalhomeshield.com to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to close your account and have your information deleted, subject to legal requirements.

California residents

California residents may have additional rights under California law, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it’s used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, you may also ask us, once a year, whether we’ve shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make any of these requests, email support@digitalhomeshield.com and mention that you are a California resident.

Children

Our services are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with a new “last updated” date, and for significant changes we’ll notify active clients as required by law.
